Our Story

Hello, I'm Shannon, my husband is Brandon. We have four beautiful children that we homeschool. My mother-in-law Janet Robertson also resides with us. Don't let this old lady fool you, she contributes to our homestead more than she realizes. I grew up in Mechanicsville Va; Brandon grew up in Giles County Va but moved to Chesterfield Va to further his education. Brandon and I met on Match.com in 2006, got married in 2009 and have been together ever since. We moved to King William County Va in 2015. With God's blessing, we have built this life together. From nothing, to now this, our little homestead.

 

Brandon and I grew up around farming and have the knowledge and understanding of how it all works. From harvesting our own chickens and pigs, to raising cows and so much more. We truly enjoy it and the rewarding feeling of being more self-sufficient brings a sense of accomplishment. We want to pass on to our children what we know and help them to be more self-sufficient in their future.
